Historical fiction must be historically accurate (authentic). Writers of historical fiction do much research to include authentic details in their writing. Characters, settings, and plot may be real or imaginary. I want you to read http://www.historiclewiston.org/freedom.html to discover what parts of Freedom Crossing are real and which are imaginary. Your test will be a chapter of the book which you will color code as to whether parts are real or imaginary. Any questions?
