The spelling test skill this week will be finding letter combinations that make the /s/ sound. It is also what the homework sheet tonight is about.

Remember:

s generally makes the /s/ sound like in scarf
ce can make the /s/ sound like in ice
ci can make the /s/ sound like in city
cy can make the /s/ sound like in cycle
ss can make the /s/ sound like in bossy
sc can make the /s/ sound like in science
