Sentence Smackdown

Sentence smackdown is a game we play where we smack the subject and verb of a sentence against the wall and earn points.
To find the subject of a sentence we ask the question, "Who or what is this sentence about?" To find the verb - AKA predicate - we ask the question, "What are they doing?"
Example: Sally looked out over the prairie, which was covered with a wide variety of grasses and flowers.
Who or what is this sentence about? Sally
What are they doing? looked
Example 2: Go down to the story and buy some cream, please.
Who or what is this sentence about? You (The subject is understood as you because this is a command.)
What are they doing? Go and buy

Smackdown de oraciones, es un juego en el cual encontramos el sujeto y verbo de una frase y ganamos puntos. ¿Para encontrar el sujeto de una frase nosotros hacemos la pregunta, ¿De quién o de qué se habla en la oración? ¿Para encontrar el verbo – mejor dicho, el predicado, - hacemos la pregunta," ¿Qué están haciendo?"
Ejemplo 1: Sally observó sobre la pradera que estaba cubierta con una amplia variedad de céspedes y flores.
¿De quién o de qué se habla en esta oración? - Sally .
¿Qué hizo? observó
Ejemplo 2: Baja a la tienda y compra un poco de crema, por favor.
¿De quién o de qué se habla en la oración? - Usted (El sujeto se entiende como usted porque ésta es una orden en ingles.)
¿Qué va ha hacer? (Cual es la acción) Vaya y compre
